Shea Kim

Shea Kim is the Owner and Instructor of Definite Defense, LLC.  She is an NRA Pistol Instructor and SLED Certified Concealed Weapons Permit Instructor.  Shea served six years in the United States Navy and was a Military Police Officer.  Shea was the first female Naval Military Police Officer stationed  at Naval Station San Diego (NAVSTA).

She worked undercover with Naval Intelligence and The San Diego Police department. Shea received several commendations and medals while serving her country as a Military Police Officer and a sharpshooter.

After two honorable discharges, Shea returned to her home town of Las Vegas and worked in the casino business as a dealer and Floor Supervisor. She worked with and dealt with people from all over the world and was exposed to all types of circumstances and environments, where she learned the value of being well prepared for personal defense.

After moving to South Carolina, She became a Real Estate Agent and found herself in situations that involved traveling, being at isolated locations and having to meet complete strangers; again stressing the need to be well prepared to take care of her personal safety.

Shea’s background and experience allows her to teach classes from a practical real world perspective that doesn’t just “get you through the class” but provides real world skills and instruction to better help you protect yourself and your family.
